Tour Plan
Day 1: Arusha- Tarangire
- After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park and enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. The park consists of natural vegetation, mainly Acacia woodland, and giant African Baobab trees, with extensive swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act like a magnet for wild animals during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire National Park is reputed to contain some of the largest elephant herds in Africa.
- This African National Park is also home to three rare species of animals – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, as well as a few Ashy Starlings.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Octagon Lodge or Farm of Dream Lodge. Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner, and Breakfast
Day 2: Tarangire – Serengeti
- After breakfast, we head towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the beautiful high-lying farmland of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands behind, we descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park, with its endless plains rolling into the distance as far as the eye can see.
- We make our way to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, which is one of the richest wildlife habitats in the park. It features the Seronera River, providing a valuable water source to this area and attracting wildlife representative of most of the Serengeti’s species.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Tukaone Tented Camp. Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner, and Breakfast
Day 3: Serengeti Ngorongoro Crater
- Enjoy an early breakfast and have a morning game drive. Then, we depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area with a game drive en route.
- Dinner and overnight stay at Octagon Lodge, Farm of Dream Lodge, or Rhino Lodge. Meal plan: Lunch, Dinner, and Breakfast.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
- After breakfast, descend into the crater and enjoy a game drive.
- The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely crowded African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos.
- Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the crater sustains a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another significant attraction to this picturesque national park is its large population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard. We will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
- In the late afternoon, drive back to Arusha.
