Tour Plan

Day 1-2: Samburu National Reserve

Guests are picked up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport or from their hotel in Nairobi by a Trackers Safari Compass representative. The drive to Samburu National Reserve commences from there, with lunch being enjoyed en route at the Trout Tree restaurant. Guests will enjoy a game drive through the Samburu National Reserve while en route to the lodge. A full day is spent in the reserve with morning and afternoon game drives. Here guests find uncommon wildlife such as the reticulated giraffe, Gerenuk antelope, Somali ostrich, Beisa oryx and the rare Grevy’s zebra.

Overnight at Ashnil Samburu Camp – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 3: Aberdare National Park

Breakfast at the camp. Drive to the Aberdare mountain region, arrive for lunch and check in at the Aberdare Country Club with a later transfer to The Ark Lodge. Guests spend the rest of the day watching wildlife from the viewing decks at the lodge’s natural waterhole, frequented by giant forest hogs, buffaloes, elephants, hyenas, Egyptian geese and the occasional leopards. The waterhole is floodlit by night so that guests may see the nocturnal wildlife. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru National Park

After breakfast, the tour departs for Lake Nakuru National Park. Guests savour a sumptuous lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge and then enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.

Overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge – dinner and breakfast.

Day 5-6: Maasai Mara National Reserve

After breakfast, guests will then head towards the Maasai Mara National Reserve. After lunch, an afternoon game drive in the reserve. The Maasai Mara National Reserve is perhaps one of Africa’s most diverse and spectacular ecosystems and affords guests with some of the best game viewing opportunities in the world. It is also home to the popular wildebeest migration.

Overnight at Sarova Mara Game Camp – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha

Breakfast is enjoyed at the Camp before the tour returns to Lake Naivasha. After lunch, guests will go for an afternoon boat ride, spot wildlife coming to drink as well as the sizeable population of hippos and water birds.

Overnight at Enashipai Resort – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 7: Lake Naivasha

Breakfast is enjoyed at the Camp before the tour returns to Lake Naivasha. After lunch, guests will go for an afternoon boat ride, spot wildlife coming to drink as well as the sizeable population of hippos and water birds.

Overnight at Enashipai Resort – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 8-9: Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at the lodge, the tour departs for Amboseli National Park. Guests can look forward to an afternoon game drive in the park. Full day spent in the park with morning and afternoon game drives. Amboseli National Park is one of Kenya’s most popular parks, with five different habitats meaning visitors can see large herds of animals, all against the backdrop of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Overnight at Ol Tukai Lodge – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 10: Namanga – Lake Manyara National Park

Depart for the Namanga border after breakfast. After customs and immigrations, guests are met by their Tanzania driver-guide and travel on to Arusha for lunch. The afternoon is spent on a game drive in the Lake Manyara National Park, well-known for the tree-climbing lions and the soda ash lake full of flamingos.

Overnight at Acacia Farm House – dinner and breakfast.

Day 11-12: Serengeti National Park

Enjoy breakfast at the lodge before departing for the Serengeti National Park. Upon arrival at the Embalakai Camp/equivalent, enjoy lunch followed by an afternoon game drive in the park. The following day is spent in the Serengeti National Park, with morning and afternoon game drives. The park is known for its large volume of wildlife, the annual wildebeest and zebra migration, as well as an impressive array of birds, resident lion, cheetah, elephant, topi antelope and giraffes.

Overnight at Embalakai Camp – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 13: Ngorongoro Conservation Area – Karatu

Breakfast is enjoyed before guests head off towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where the drive descends into the Ngorongoro Crater, the largest intact caldera in the world. Here guests enjoy an afternoon game drive, with lunch boxes, and have the chance to see the ‘Big 5’ in one of the most unique settings in East Africa.

Overnight at Oldeani Lodge – lunch, dinner, and breakfast.

Day 14: Departure

After breakfast, guests will be driven to Arusha and then onward to Kilimanjaro International Airport for departing flights.
