Tour Plan
Day 1: Nairobi
- Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you will be welcomed and chauffeured to your hotel, Hemingways Nairobi where you will spend the night on half board basis including of drinks (excluding premium drinks).
- Hemingways Nairobi is set between Nairobi National Park and the foot of the Ngong Hills. An exclusive boutique hotel far from the bustle of central Nairobi. An all-suite property providing full butler service, gourmet restaurant, a brasserie and a bar, it is perfectly placed for trips to Nairobi National Park and the capital. Hemingways Nairobi has a sophisticated and tranquil ambiance. Each of the 45 suites is a generous size, all with walk-in dressing rooms and a terrace with magnificent views of the Ngong Hills. Enjoy a light lunch in the Brasserie overlooking the well tended gardens.

Day 2: Meru National Park
- Breakfast at Hemingways Nairobi. Check-out and transfer to Wilson Airport Nairobi, for boarding the Elewana Executive Grand Caravan. Your SkySafari will now take to the Air! Arrive in Meru National Park located in the region of Mount Kenya. Landing at the Meru airstrip, the Elsa’s Kopje Team will welcome you and you will be transferred to the lodge, arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, you will have the chance to enjoy the camps facilities before departing on an afternoon game drive.
- Dinner and overnight at the lodge. Your stay at Elsa’s Kopje is for 2 nights and is on all-inclusive basis (includes all meals, bush activities and drinks – excluding premium drinks).
- Elsa’s Kopje is unashamedly romantic and beautifully styled, sculpted into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original camp where he raised and released orphan lions, long before conservation became fashionable. Each cottage is crafted round the rocks, with a large bedroom, open sitting room, veranda, rock-hewn bathroom, and breathtaking views.
Day 3: Meru National Park
- Early morning game drive and bush breakfast. Continue game viewing arriving at the camp for lunch. Afternoon visit to the Rhino Sanctuary.
- Sundowner cocktail in the bush and then return to the camp for dinner and overnight. Meru National Park, wild and remote, lies 10km north of the equator between Mount Kenya and the Nyambeni Mountains, 350km from Nairobi. Meru forms part of a larger conservation area covering 370,000 acres including the adjoining Kora, Rahole and Bisanadi Reserves. The park also incorporates a 84 km2 rhino sanctuary, making Meru one of the prime destinations to see rhino in their natural habitat. The birdlife is extraordinarily colourful and abundant with over 400 species of birds. Rugged and remote, Meru National Park was rescued from oblivion thanks to Elsa’s Kopje, an environmental award-winning, boutique lodge. Visitors get the whole place to themselves: all 870 km2 of it, including a thriving rhino sanctuary inside the Park. Famous for large elephant herds, lion and birdlife, and more diversity of animal species than any park in East Africa; Meru is also the only National Park to permit ranger-guided bush walks. Other activities include fishing in the streams, game drives to Kora and Bisanadi National Reserves, and night game drives back to camp.
Day 4: Loisaba
- Following breakfast at the camp, there is an escorted hike up Mughwanjo Hill. Then transfer to the airstrip for the SkySafari flight to Loisaba Conservancy. VIP welcome with a briefing about the conservancy. Game drive en route to the camp arriving for lunch. In the afternoon depart for a game drive followed by a sundowner.

Perched on the edge of an escarpment with unhindered views across the Laikipia plains to Mt Kenya, Loisaba Tented Camp is the ultimate blend of sophistication and nature. A main bar, lounge and dining area with chic Africana decor, and a tantalizing infinity pool are designed to maximize on the expansive views.
Day 5: Loisaba
- Morning participation in one of the numerous activities offered by the camp – game drive, cultural visit to Samburu village / guided bushwalk, horse and camel safari, lion tracking, mountain biking, fishing (seasonal), visit to the conservancy headquarters and antipoaching sniffer dogs. Enjoy a bush breakfast, followed by a spa treatment. Lunch is at the camp. In the afternoon, depart on a game drive or chose from one of the activities on offer, returning to camp for dinner.
Day 5: Loisaba
- Morning participation in one of the numerous activities offered by the camp – game drive, cultural visit to Samburu village / guided bushwalk, horse and camel safari, lion tracking, mountain biking, fishing (seasonal), visit to the conservancy headquarters and antipoaching sniffer dogs. Day 6: Masai Mara
- Following breakfast, you game view en route to the airstrip. Fly by the SkySafari aircraft to Masai Mara National Reserve. Game drive en route to the camp arriving for lunch a chance to enjoy the camp’s facilities. Followed by an afternoon game drive and then return to the camp for dinner and overnight. You also have sundowners in the bush before reaching the camp.
- Your stay at Sand River Masai Mara is for 2 nights in a Luxurious Safari Tent, and is on all-inclusive basis (includes all meals, bush activities and drinks – excluding premium drinks)
- The Masai Mara Game Reserve is simply called “The Mara” – a Masai word meaning “mottled” – a reference to its patchy landscape. The Reserve covers 1,510 sq km (580 sq miles) and raises 1,500-2,170 meters above sea level. The terrain of the reserve is primarily grassland and riverine forest with clumps of distinctive acacia trees. It is about 270 km from the capital city Nairobi and takes about 5-6 hours by road or 40-45 minutes by flight.
- The wildlife of the Masai Mara is world-renowned, with the so-called “Big Five”- buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhinoceros – evident throughout the year. The “Big Nine” – including cheetah, zebra, giraffe and hippo – extends this experience.The Masai Mara also plays host to the ‘Annual Migration’ but whatever the time of year the resident wildlife will surely enthrall and entertain all who visit this wondrous reserve.
- Finally let us not forget the colorful inhabitants of this exceptional landscape. The Masai are a proud semi-nomadic cattle-rearing people with a fascinating culture, divided into a number of sub-tribes some of which share the Mara region. The Masai are an ever-present reminder of the history and cultural heritage of this sublime and enigmatic landscape, and will surely leave a lasting impression for all.
Day 7: Masai Mara
- Optional early morning balloon ride – at supplement.
- Depart with a picnic hamper lunch for a full day game viewing in Masai Mara National Reserve. Return to the camp for dinner under the stars and overnight.
- The area has been classified among the “Seven Wonders of the World” due to the extraordinary annual migration from July to November when over 1.3 million wildebeest and zebra cross from the Serengeti to the Maasai Mara in search of greener pastures. Then you will have the opportunity to Interact with the Masai tribe in their village. A final farewell dinner under the stars.
Day 8: Departure
Following breakfast, you transfer to the airstrip for your SkySafari flight back to Nairobi’s Wilson Airport. You are met on arrival and transferred to Four Points Sheraton Nairobi Airport Hotel for a day’s room. Lunch is provided at the hotel (excludes drinks). You then transfer to Nairobi’s Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure flight.
